Covid-19 Important information
We are open for face to face therapy. We ask that clients sanitiser their hands on arrival and where possible, wear face masks in the waiting room and hallways.
Unfortunately, the waiting room is only available to clients. Family and friends not attending an appointment are not able to wait in the waiting room.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Our aim is to provide our clients with helpful advice, a fantastic variety of treatments and care of the highest standard.
Counselling is a type of talking treatment that allows clients to discuss their issues and emotions in a confidential, non judgemental and dependable environment. Counselling aims to help you to deal with issues that maybe causing you emotional distress. It can be a great relief to share your worries and fears with someone who acknowledges your feelings and is able to help you reach a positive solution.
Hypnotherapy is an alternative therapy that uses guided relaxation, intense concentration, and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness called a trance state. In this naturally occurring state, the client along with the guidance of the hypnotherapist is able to clear their mind and focus their attention on specific thoughts or tasks, enabling them to make clear decisions and make changes in their lives.
Psychotherapy, like counselling, is now and again used to refer to talking treatments all in all. Be that as it may, psychotherapy is additionally a specific type of therapy. Psychotherapy is a more in-depth type of treatment than counselling, and it can be utilised to address a more extensive scope of issues. A psychotherapist can offer you some assistance with exploring your thoughts, emotions and beliefs.
Psychologists try to understand people’s difficulties in the context of their background, life events and also the sense that they have made of their experiences. A clinical psychologist can help you to understand, prevent, and alleviate psychological distress and promote well-being and personal development. The psychologist is able to observe behaviours and advise on the best course of treatment.

Mental health matters
Our mental health is important. It effects our psychological, emotional and social well-being. Our state of mind effects how we feel, think and act. Our mental health helps determine how we handle stress, communicate with others and what choices we make, so its important that just like our body, we take care of our mind too.
Gone are the days when talking about our mental health had a stigma attached. Now we realise the importance of sharing an issue or difficulty that we maybe experiencing in our lives with others that can help.
The Regency Practice was founded in 2016 by Bobby Jon Hook and Katrina Woodward. It is located in the town of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Bobby and Katrina had the vision to create a prestigious practice offering therapy in Cheltenham, proving therapy rooms of a high standard. Being a therapist himself, Bobby was able to brief Katrina so she could help create therapy rooms that are designed around what is required by the therapist. By achieving this, the client benefits from having great therapists in therapy rooms that offer everything that a therapist and client need to receive the best treatment.
“Here at The Regency Practice, our aim is to make sure our clients receive the best treatment in a homely, safe and private environment. We have fantastic therapy rooms available and well-trained therapists to ensure great results.”
