Jenny Ellis

Jenny uses Person Centered, Psychodynamic, and Relational theories to offer ways you might understand yourself better and find a way forward. She is an experienced and qualified counsellor and a lecturer in counselling.

When anxious thoughts and depressive feelings get too much, you can feel like you've lost sight of yourself. Jenny aims to meet you where you are and look together at what’s happening for you, and perhaps make changes based on what you find.

Jenny works in a way that is trauma informed, focusing on grounding techniques over talking about traumatic details. She is registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) which means she works in a way that is recognised as ethical and effective.

As well as specialising in anxiety, depression and self-harm, Jenny has a particular interest and experience in working with identity topics. These include, but are not restricted to, existential questions, gender and sexuality, and relationships, including non-monogamy, polyamory and kink.
