Kathie Reveley

Kathie is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with more than a decade’s experience of working within the NHS and other mental health settings.

There are many different reasons for people seeking therapy. You may feel stuck, lost or overwhelmed by past or present events. You may feel that you're trapped in the same unfulfilling relationships or patterns. You may not know what you need help with but feel that something needs to change.   If you are struggling in any of these areas, Kathie can help you develop insight into your difficulties, move forward with your life and create long lasting, meaningful change.

Kathie offers a free 15 minute telephone consultation whereby you can let her know what you would like help with and she can let you know if she feels she can help you. This will give you an opportunity to ask Kathie any questions you may have or worries about starting therapy.

As a Counselling Psychologist, Kathie integrates aspects of more than one model of evidence based psychological theory. She draws on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic theory and MBT (mentalization based therapy) and the type of psychotherapeutic interventions she uses depends on the 'problem area' you bring and how you would like us to address it. We can discuss what these therapeutic approaches mean, the differences between them and the type(s) that might be most suitable for you when we meet. The important thing to remember is that Kathie offers therapy that is tailored to meet your unique, individual needs. It is her priority to provide a safe, nurturing space for you to learn, heal and grow and we will work together to help you achieve your goals. Kathies approach is warm, empathic and non-judgemental and I have a strict confidentiality policy.
